‘Adventure’

It was about 5.00am when we were asked to reach the school for a study tour to Kag Village and Chikar in Haripur and especially to observe wildlife there. An excited journey started at 5:30am when the que of all our fellows reached the school and the bus got filled. Somehow, finally we reached our destination in early morning when the sun was rising from the East, the heart touching sounds of birds, the morning glory, the cold breeze, the waves of the water and group of some students in quest about wildlife knowledge. The environment seemed very remarkable to me. We had an experienced tutor with us who was also very attached with the nature, named Dr Ahsan Qureshi. He guided us a lot about different species of birds, insects and plants, but we were eager to see such creatures by our own. Therefore we were given binoculars and other optical instruments and the real journey started. We saw different types of different species of birds including Indian Roller, Collard doves, Oriental turtle doves, wild ducks and many more. Different species of plants including different types of trees were observed by us and scary insects which were even captured by our fellows. We stayed there and adhere these creatures for atleast 4hrs. The arrival of wild life officers who guided us more about wild life including their hunting season, number of species and fines on illegal hunting’s. After alot of enjoyment, the time came to move back. Over all journey was adequate and atlast we had to fill the lists that we were given to fill related to different creatures we had seen.
