GEOGRAPHIC REPORT ON KAG AND DARWAZA VILLAGE

Kag village is located in Haripur district at a distance of 10 k.m towards north of Haripur on Chipper road It is situated on southern side of Koh-e-Hindukush. It is a beautiful village and has always been significant due to its cultural, historical, natural beauty, biodiversity and evo-tourism importance. Darwaza is also a beautiful village in Haripur in proximity of villages Chinjaliala and Allui. It has an elevation of 1589 metres.It is a small rural settlement in Haripur. Haripur is a district located in the Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Its coordinates are 32.2636°N latitude and 72.4258°E longitude.Haripur is bounded by Mansehra district to the North, Abbottabad district to the East and the river Indus to the west.The district's landscape is characterized by hills and mountains, with the Margalla hills to the south.The topography of Haripur includes rivers, mountains, lake, canals, water reservoirs, plains and even waterfalls. The major predicament that the Haripur district is facing is related to environmental pollution and over hunting of wild life that has put many wild living creatures on the brink of extinction. The human actions have many negative impacts on environment so it is hoped that strict implementation of policies will improve the condition of wild life and the state of pollution in the district so the natural beauty can be conserved.
